Latest Windows 7 SP1 32Bit ISO burned to a DVD - external USB DVD Drive for Setup - latest OQO Model 02/e2 drivers for Windows Vista on USB Flash Drive or CD/DVD
**Note**Windows installation from USB drive is not supported, booting from a USB drive will result in a BOOT BCD error.
1. Connect your DVD Drive with inserted Windows 7 DVD
2. Enter the BIOS (press FN and BSP/DEL during Post)
3. Open "Boot Configuration“
4. Change "Boot 1st" to CDROM
5. Press ESC
6. "Write to CMOS and Exit"
7. Boot to Windows 7 Setup and install Windows 7
After you have successfully installed Windows, the drivers must be installed in the following order. A reboot is required after each installation.
Install Via S3 Display Driver (Version 0358)
Install IDT Audio Driver (Version 5862a)
Install Atheros WLAN OQO Driver via Device Manager (Version 4.2.2.27)
Install Toshiba Bluetooth Driver (Version 51012)
Install Wacom Tablet Driver (Version 5035)
Install OQOkb Keyboard Layout (US/UK)
Install if necessary Verizon Access Client, PrintPCs Client or Novatel Wireless Driver if your OQO has integrated WWAN
Install OQO Manager (Version 20613, for Windows Vista) in Compatibility Mode for Windows Vista, without Service Pack
Press FN and /? to open the OQO Manager Wireless Dashboard and try to enable/disable the WLAN connection. Usually your WLAN connection cannot be activated
Restart your OQO, Press FN and BSP/DEL to enter the BIOS
Open "System Configuration" and reactivate your WLAN 802.11 Device
Press ESC
"Write to CMOS and Exit"
Now the OQO Manager and the wireless dashboard should work, as well as WLAN, Bluetooth and if integrated WWAN can be turned off and reactivated via the dashboard.
You can find the OQO Manager when you open "control panel" of Windows 7 and search for OQO.
